Noir Cases is a mobile mystery game where players solve cases with help from an AI investigation partner. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to run the game:

Account information from Google sign-in, such as your Google account ID, email address, name, profile image, and whether your email is verified.
Gameplay information, such as the cases you start, your progress, evidence discoveries, case pack purchases, and messages you send to the AI investigation partner.
Purchase verification information, such as store, product ID, transaction ID, purchase date, and receipt or purchase-token verification results from Apple or Google.
Analytics information, such as app version, platform, locale, app lifecycle events, screen views, feature events, error categories, campaign links, and an anonymous analytics ID.
Technical information sent with normal API requests, such as IP address, device and network metadata, and server logs.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

Create and secure your account.
Save your case progress and unlock purchased content.
Provide the AI investigation partner and keep conversation history available inside each case.
Verify purchases with Apple App Store or Google Play.
Understand app usage, diagnose errors, and improve Noir Cases.
Prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and protect the service.

AI Partner Messages

When you use the AI investigation partner, your messages and relevant case context are processed by our API and may be sent to AI service providers so the partner can respond. Please do not include sensitive personal information in game chat.

Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics. Analytics may include screen names, app lifecycle events, app version, platform, locale, campaign attribution parameters, and event properties related to game usage. Session replay is disabled.

Before you sign in, analytics uses a randomly generated anonymous ID stored on your device. After sign-in, analytics may be associated with your account so we can understand product usage across sessions.

Third-Party Services

We use service providers that process information for us, including:

Google, for sign-in.
Apple and Google, for purchase verification.
PostHog, for analytics.
AI service providers, for investigation partner responses.
Hosting and infrastructure providers, for the API and database.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when needed to operate Noir Cases, comply with law, protect users or the service, complete a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, or with your direction or consent.

Retention

We keep account, gameplay, purchase, and AI partner conversation information for as long as needed to provide the game, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of our analytics provider.

Your Choices

You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information associated with your account. You can also sign out of the app to reset local authentication state. Some purchase, security, or legal records may need to be kept even after a deletion request.

Children

Noir Cases is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International Transfers

Noir Cases and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from yours.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as Noir Cases changes. When we do, we will update the date above.
